I was grocery shopping during preschool this morning so I didn't see which story Kathy read.

We did a sink and float experiment. 

We painted with ice cubes. 

We did a movement activity.  I think they were pretending to be polar bears. 

We made snow cones. 

We glued cotton balls to bear pictures. 

We read, "The Little Polar Bear".

We also started a new sticker chart where children who earn 20 stickers by following the rules will get to earn a prize.

Today we practiced writing the letter P.

Then we glued popcorn to an outline of the letter P. 

We read the book, "Chamelia". 

We played a chamelion matching game. 

We painted chamelions and put them on popsicle sticks. 

We got some new construction toys today.  This is the first of a big order of new toys and supplies. 

Today we read "Anteaters".

We used straws to suck up ants (cookie sprinkles). 

We blew through strawes to make bubble paintings. 

We blew through straws to race little balls across a table. 

We played a CD called "Silly Willy Moves Through the ABC's" and we did the moves. 

We built cages for animals. 

We played with geo boards. 

We made designs with plastic shapes. 

On Tuesday we learned about sloths.

We did experiments with colors. 

We made paper sloths. 

We did a movement activity. 

Kathy did several rhythem activities with the children. 

We made paper crowns, swords, and shields. 

We played some of our favorite card games and board games. 

We enjoyed the relatively warm weather. 

On Monday we read a book about snakes. 

We did some sponge painting. 

We made patterns with connector blocks and pretended that they were snakes in the grass.

We did a guessing game.
